DAOS spans across the whole county of Dorset.

What venues are there to visit ?
Artists open up their private workspaces, studios, homes, gardens or shared venues. Plus community centres, village halls, churches and heritage venues as well as professional galleries and spaces.

What's on show ?
All forms of visual art, painting, glass work, sculpture, printmaking, photography, drawing, ceramics, jewellery, audio arts, digital art, crafts and design.

How do i get a DAOS Brochure ?
Free Brochures will be available throughout Dorset from mid July 2027.
It will also be available on here from mid May 2027.
If you would like a copy sent to you please do get in touch.

All the venue opening times are available in the brochure or on the pacific artists page on this website. If you are making a pacific journey, we would advise you to call first to ensure nothing sudden has stopped them opening.

What is Dorset Artist Open Studios ?
DAOS is a celebration of visual art held annually for 9 days to provide an affordable opportunity for professional, amateur and emerging artists to show their work in diverse venues across the county.
For our inaugural year this is happening late summer 2027.

Can I purchase artwork ?
Most venues will have artwork available to purchase. However not all venues will be accepting card payments, so we advise you have an alternative way of paying. Cash or bank transfer.

Cant visit during the event ?
If you are unable to visit during the event, most artists are available at other times. So please do contact them to arrange an alternative convenient time.

How to find a venue ?
What3words and postcodes are provided for all venues. Keep an eye out for the DAOS yellow signs positioned by artists.

Is there a fee to visit a venue ?
99% of venues are free to enter, however if a venue does charge it is clearly marked in the brochure and on the website.
